Frequently Asked Questions
How high should you hang an alabaster chandelier?
Hang it 30 to 36 inches above a dining table or island. In an entry or living room, leave at least 7 feet of clearance under the lowest point.
Is an alabaster chandelier bright enough for a dining room?
Yes. A chandelier gives a dining room comfortable ambient light. The stone softens the output, so add recessed lights or lamps if you also use the room for work.
Can your ceiling hold an alabaster chandelier?
Check before you buy. Stone is heavier than glass, so the ceiling box must be rated for the fixture’s weight. Find the weight on the product page and ask a licensed electrician to install it.
Will your chandelier look exactly like the photos?
No. The shape and brass finish will match, but the veining and tone will not. Alabaster is a natural stone, so expect small differences from the photos.
Are alabaster chandeliers easy to clean?
Yes. A soft, dry cloth is all you need. Dust the stone every week or two. Skip water, sprays and abrasive cleaners, because alabaster is porous and can stain or lose its finish.
